Rapid tests for food microbiology

BIO ART is a diagnostic company specialized in the design, development, production and marketing of rapid diagnostic tests and media for the detection of food borne pathogens (e.g. Salmonella, Listeria). The company's products are based on immuno-assay technologies (ELISA and Membrane based), for which BIO ART has developed extensive manufacturing know-how. The RAPIDYME range of products is based on ELISA-detection technology and is addressing the market of automated laboratories for which high-throughput and a short Time To Response are essential features. The RAPIDYME Salmonella spp. provides results within 36-48 hours. The kit has been validated according the most recent ISO 16140 requirements and may be used on a variety of food and feed stuffs. The RAPIDYME Listeria spp. is based on the same ELISA-technology and will enter the AFNOR validation process early 2007. &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp The company has also developed a Salmonella enrichment broth with a 24 h enrichment protocol. This broth can be used for both RAPIDYME and BLUSPOT Salmonella tests.
